Clean Water Project

On May 28th to June 4th 2023, CCP received guests from USA; Josephine Wayne, President, Clean Water Project – USA and Wendy Pearce, who are Life House Foundation Board Members. It was a week full of great ministry with the main agenda being to facilitate a water treatment system for the purposes of distributing safe and clean drinking water for the CCP Academy and the community at large. During their one week stay, Josephine and Wendy were involved in various activities that included: working together with Davis and Shirtliff, a water company in installing the water filtration system, sharing lunch together with their sponsored kids and visiting those that are in other partner schools, helping with CCP Art class, working together with the Communication and Finance Departments to strengthen communication and finance support to our sponsors. The week culminated into a Clean Water Project launch which took place on June 2nd 2023. The event attracted the presence of guardians, learners, school staff. CCP received an impromptu visit from our Member of Parliament, Dagoretti North, Hon.Beatrice Elachi, who graced the commissioning of the Project. Pastor Francis Lukale, Maranatha Faith Assemblies pastor shared a sermon on “Beautiful but Barren” with reference from 2 Kings 2:19-22 and John 4:11-13 where he encouraged people not to suffer in silence but to raise their voice for help. He further asked them to seek God in areas of failure, challenging situations and unproductive issues. After the sermon the congregation was led to officially launch the project by cutting the ribbon and unveiling the plaque. The community was then officially invited to fetch the clean, treated and purified water. CCP appreciates Clean Water Project – USA for funding fully the water filtration system and we thank the Lord for the blessings of safe and clean water.
