3D Class Graduation
Seven CCP sponsored ex-cans (high school graduates) and one non-sponsored ex-can who transitioned from high school last year concluded 3D life skills training in a graduation embedded in the Hope Baptist Church, Lavington church service on Sunday April 14, 2019. They were among the 32 students who went through the three months long training attending classes Tuesday, Thursday and Friday every week. The program intends to prepare the ex-cans for college and life in general by equipping them with various life skills. 3D is a youth leadership Development, Discovery and Discipleship program that is run annually by the Hope Baptist Church, Lavington. The 2019 class was taken through Leadership, Spiritual Disciplines, Personal Development Skills, Bible Doctrines, Community Development, Entrepreneurship, Financial Management, Communication Skills and Professional Career Exposure. The class was run by various facilitators under the care of Mr. Fredrick Imbayi (Discipleship & Care Pastor) and Mr. Nicholas Katale (Youth & Children Pastor) both from the host church. The ex-cans who graduated after successfully attending the classes and meeting all the minimum requirements included Pauline Wambui, Ashley Khavushirwa, Letisha Orodi, Cindy Njeri, Fidelis Wanyama, Sidney Khasoa, Elizabeth Opiyo and Christine Linda. They were awarded a certificate of completion each along with receiving a gift of a study Bible from the church's AWANA Program.
