Ombi (Prayer) Retreat
Twelve CCP staff gathered for a prayer retreat on 2nd, June 2021 with the theme 'He is Ebenezer' from the Bible in 1 Samuel 7:12 at Free Pentecostal Fellowship of Kenya (FPFK) Church, Dagoretti. The CCP staff Ombi teams are divided into four; Office, Teachers, Spiritual Volunteers and for the Boys (FTB). It was easier to pray together as a group in their various teams. The prayer retreat had two other teams go out on 5th June to the Nairobi Arboretum and Ngong Forest Sanctuary. The CCP Academy team went to Arboretum while the spiritual team convened at Ngong forest sanctuary. Pastor Billy Lusava, CCP's Spiritual Coordinator encouraged the team from Joshua 4:4-9 about God's covenant with the Israelites of the stones as a sign to their generation. Billy explained what the stone meant being; to inspire their hope for their future, remember God's doing in the past and receive God's favour. Thereafter, the team had a personal reflection, prayed for the organization, its sponsors, donors, partners and clients. In addition, they prayed for the nation, family, construction and especially the school and clinic. In conclusion, the group had a sumptuous lunch as they shared testimonies of the Lord's doing. This prayer journey is to revitalize and commit to a lifestyle of prayer.
