On Tuesday, May 11th, 2021 CCP Academy grade 3 to 7 pupils reported back to school for term three after a 7-week holiday. A total of 103 pupils were present and ready for learning. The government directives on wearing masks and washing hands to prevent the spread of Covid-19 were observed on this day. CCP Academy teachers and CCP staff welcomed the students as they checked their assignments and other school requirements. The pupils had been accompanied by their guardians as required. Thereafter, the pupils gathered for a brief assembly. The teacher on duty, Davis Kidake. Introduced the theme of the week; Courage from Joshua 1:6. He said courage is the choice and willingness to confront pain, danger or intimidation. Afterwards he invited CCP Academy's head teacher, Hilda Mwavishi, who welcomed the pupils back to school and encouraged them to always have their masks on, wash their hands and keep social distance to keep themselves safe. She also emphasized on time management and general discipline. Afterwards, the pupils with excitement had their porridge. The pupils then proceeded to their classes and began their learning. We thank God for keeping them safe during the holiday, as we look forward to an exciting term ahead.
