Rites Of Passages (ROPEs) Parents Meeting
Twenty-two CCP grade eight parents attended the first Rites Of Passage Experiences (ROPEs) training in the year on Saturday, January 30th, 2021 at ACK, Church Kawangware. The aim of the meeting was to enlighten the guardians on "Being the present parent in the life of their teenagers". The meeting begun with a word of encouragement from Matthew 14:26-33 by Pastor Billy Lusava, CCP's Spiritual Coordinator. Pastor Billy inspired the guardians to pray always and have faith in God in times of challenges. "As a Christian one needs to have faith that will take them to the next level when waves of life strikes. Be ready to fight those waves in prayer", Pastor Bill advised. Thereafter, Mable Umali, CCP's Medical Coordinator gave the guardians tips on how to be present in the life of their teenagers. Which are; they are the first teacher of their children, be involved in their life, be the first priest of the child's life. Mable also advised the guardians to uphold good hygiene. In addition, Hilda Mwavishi, Head teacher at CCP Academy envisioned the guardians to work hand in hand with the teacher's in order to help the learners improve and excel in their academics. In conclusion, the ROPEs parents were reminded of their contribution towards the ROPEs camp which will take place on a date that will be communicated later.
