Back to School after ten months break
On Wednesday, January 6th, 2021 CCP Academy grade 3, 5, 6 and 7 pupils reported back to school for term two after ten months indefinite holiday due to Covid-19 pandemic. In the meantime grade 4 and 8 had already resumed school last year in October for term two and went for a two weeks Christmas holiday and are now in term three according to the Kenya school calendar. A total of 148 pupils were present ready for learning and adapting to the new normal of wearing masks and washing hands to observe the government guidelines to prevent Covid-19. In the meantime, CCP teachers and other staff welcomed the pupils and guardians who had accompanied their children for the day one of school re-opening. Thereafter, the pupils in their respective classes were given a word of encouragement, information in awareness of the Covid-19 and also prayed with them. Each class teacher had another staff to assist to check assignments and other school requirements in preparation for the lesson. Afterwards, the pupils with excitement picked their porridge with the help of their teachers as they observed the corona pandemic protocols. "We had missed this delicious porridge and food at school. Thank you", one of the pupils appreciated. We thank God for keeping them safe at home and bringing them back to school.
