"All are in the race but the determinant is the finish line. We need to help each other finish the race", She said. Afterwards, Benard Okoth, CCP's Educational Coordinator trained on "The Race of Life". Benard asked the parents to state some of the positive things that their teens does better. "Life is a step each day so trust in God to provide wisdom on how to bring up your teenager", Benard advised. He enlightened the parent on the changes that happen to a teen: Physical, Psycho-social and emotional changes. Due to some hormonal changes a teen might behave in a different manner therefore help them understand themselves. He encouraged the parents to give them a conducive environment for rapport. In conclusion, the parents were reminded of the ROPEs camp in November. ROPEs program targets eighth grade students that are transitioning from childhood to responsible adults in the society. The yearlong program takes parents through six lessons and thirty two for teenagers culminating for a camp experience in November 2019.
