Bettering My Best
One hundred and fifty-two CCP Academy students resumed on January 7th, 2019 with the first term theme "Bettering my Best" at the St. Luke ACK Church, Kawangware. The students arrived accompanied by their parents after a two months long holiday in the new leased venue. Pastor Frederick Mmbwanga CCP's Children and Youth Coordinator shared from John 13:6. Pastor Fredrick urged them to change their thinking and how they view things just like Peter and he caught a multitude of fish. "If you want to better your skills you don't have to doubt or question irrelevantly in order to aim higher academically. "For one to better their best, you need to submit, have no doubt and most importantly the Messiah", Pastor Fredrick remarked. He asked the students to put more effort in their studies for better performance. Pastor Fredrick clarified that Simon Peter and his friends toiled all night because they didn't have the Messiah but when He came they caught too many fish until the nets almost broke. Twenty students got born again during the alter call by Pastor Fredrick. They will start follow-up lessons to affirm their salvation at CCP’s different Good News Club (GNC). Hilda Mwavishi the School Head Teacher welcomed all the students back to school and especially the grade 3 and grade 4 new comers. She asked the students to work hard, uphold discipline and abide by the school rules. To wrap up, Jacqueline Ngige CCP's Director of Finance too welcomed the students back to school and emphasized the need for students to take their studies seriously. She asked children come to school neat. CCP Academy, which began two years ago in May 2014, accommodates children from CCP's Sponsorship program and from the community.
