God is Opening a New Chapter
This year's first guardians training with an evangelistic message on "New Hope in 2019" took place on January 5th, 2019 at Maranatha Assemblies Church, Kawangware. Pastor Francis Lukale, Maranatha Assembies Church preached on God is opening a new chapter basing on Jeremiah 29:11 & Ruth 4:13-17. Pastor Francis reminded guardians that God has good plans and thoughts for their life and hence will give each one an expected end. On the same note, Pastor Francis stated that no one should give up because God is with them. Furthermore, it is not over until God says it's over. He informed guardians that the final whistle is the determinant factor of the direction one's life will take. As a result, guardians should be determine to walk in the ways of God at all times because life has different chapters. "Naomi in the Bible begun in tears and fear but at the end she smiled after Ruth got married to Boaz", Francis stated. Similarly, someone may have begun the year in tears but at the end the Lord says He will give you an expected end. He concluded by admonishing the guardians not to despise anyone because life has different chapters and God is involved in each of their story. Jacqueline Ngige, CCP"s Finance Director, reminded guardians on the need for their commitment and cooperation with the organization as the year begins. She stressed on the importance of following organizational policies such as Good News Club (GNC) among others. On the other hand, Stella Mwangi, CCP's Managing Director welcomed the guardians into the New Year and gave a word of counsel to them. Stella gave a word of encouragement to the students who sat for Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) last year. At the same time, the KCPE students were prayed for as they transition to different high school. In conclusion, 22 Rites of Passage Experiences (ROPES) 2018 students received certificates for participating and successfully completing the ROPES program. ROPES targets teenagers between 12 to 15 years and empowers them transition from childhood to adulthood in a Christian surrounding.
