Youth End Year Event
We celebrated an incredible 2018 with our youth, and glorified the name of Jesus for how far He's brought us! At our end of the year event at the Community Center, we enjoyed lunch followed by a talent show of some wonderfully gifted students. We heard a young visitor named Benard with the voice of an angel, gaped at the athletic skill of a dance crew, and a spoken word performance. We had a time of praise and worship to raise our voices in adoration and thanksgiving to Christ above for His goodness. Following these presentations, there was a Fashion Show. Both Staff and Students had prepared either "Traditional African" wear or "Crazy and Creative" for their costumes. As you can imagine, it was quite a hilarious afternoon! Students also rocked "1980ís to 2018" and could be seen sporting their trendiest clothes on the catwalk. Staff were stunning in African dress, and for the crazy category, we had an appearance by an elderly man in rucksack pants and crop top (Pastor Fred) and a Kale girl (Kelli). The students will not have Saturday Good News Club until the new year, so we prayed over them as they enter the long holiday. Lord-willing, they will stay safe, healthy, and grow in their walk with Christ. Please help us in praying for them these next two months as well!
