The VBS was launched on Monday April 9th by CCP’s Children and Youth Coordinator Pastor Fredrick Mmbanga sharing on the topic of grace from Ephesians 2:8. He said humanity deserved to die as a result of their sin but God’s grace has given has forgiveness through the work of Jesus on the cross. On day two the message was shared by Peter Njenga, CCP’s Volunteer in the Spiritual Department on the topic of forgiveness from Mathew 18:22. He encouraged the youth to forgive those who wrong them uncountable times the same way God forgives us. Thereafter, Saidi Chesoli CCP’s Social worker preached on the topic of being an encourager drawn from Joshua 1:9. He said people can do so much if we are willing to go all out to pray for them, forgive them instead of condemning them and speak positively towards them and concerning them. That was day three. She encouraged the youth to take initiative in settling any conflicts they may have with their relatives and friends because that honors God. On the final day the message was preached by Harriet Mwari CCP’s Communication Coordinator on the topic of God’s purpose in Life. Each preaching session was accompanied by some reflection questions which the youth discussed is small groups according to their ages. These were facilitated by CCP staff. Then there was games sessions facilitated by Jacob Omondi, a CCP sponsored college going student assisted by Peter Njenga.
