Twenty-nine Youths Gives their Life to Christ
One-hundred and thirty five Youth attended the April Youth Vacation Bible School (VBS) on Monday April 9th 2018 at CCP's Community Center, Kawangware. The youth camp's theme dubbed "Relationship with God and others" will run for one weeks from the 9th to 13th April. The youth camp targets to reach out to 300 youths and will involve: worship, Bible hour, small groups and games/fun activities. The first day's teachings centered on "Godís Grace" from the book of John 27:32-43. The main aim is to enable the youths understand that it's by the grace of God one is saved according to Ephesians 2:8. The memory verse of the day drawn from Romans 6:23, "The wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord." Pastor Fredrick Mmbwanga, CCP's Youth & Children Coordinator explained that Grace is when you receive what you don't deserve. He further said that a person deserves to be punished for the wrongs done but instead they are forgiven. Fredrick gave an example in the Bible of the thief on the cross was not only forgiven but he experienced Godís Grace. He further taught on the role of Grace being that it saves life, it is not earned but a gift from God to all and Grace requires faith in God. 'Grace is a comma instead of the period', Fredrick said. He explained further that instead of receiving what we deserve, separation from God forever, we are given the choice of a free gift. We pay nothing because it is already paid for. All glory to Jesus and jubilation as 29 youth and pre-teens gave their lives to Christ. Thereafter, group discussions ensued where each class was given a set of questions on the topic Grace. Games ended the day where the youth participated in fun activities.
