CCP's Children Easter Concert
Three hundred and nine children gathered at CCP’s Community Center on April 7th 2018 to celebrate Easter through a concert. This day was also the official closing day of CCP’s Saturday Spiritual programs for the April holiday. The children present were drawn from four CCP Good News Club (GNC) centers namely: Kawangware Day, Good Hope, Ngando and Mugwam. Their teachers had prepared since January for various presentations such as: songs, poems, skits, memory verses, and dances on the theme of Jesus death and Resurrection. The day began with welcome remarks from Fredrick Mmbwanga CCP’s Children and Youth Coordinator. Thereafter, various presentations followed with the judges awarding marks on each piece. When all was said and done, Ngando center worn in the songs and poems categories while Good Hope center worn in memory verse and skit sets. The other centers followed closely. After compilation of all marks Good Hope center emerged the best overall, followed by Ngando, then Community Center and Kawangware Day. Judgment was based on the presenter’s general confidence, the relevance of the presenation to the theme, ability to maintain eye contact, choice of costumes, audibility, utilization of stage space, and general coordination.
