Living Above Poverty Level
CCP’s Guardian’s training on the topic ‘Living above Poverty Level’ was held on 6th May 2017 at Maranatha Faith Assemblies Kabiro, facilitated by Bernard Omutere, Administrative Pastor at Harvest Centre Fellowship (HCF) Kangemi. The training began with a devotion shared by Damaris Karugu one of our social workers from Psalm 24:1 ‘’The earth is the LORD’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it’. She encouraged the guardians to take steps of faith in addressing matters in their lives because God knows and has wonderful plans them. Pastor Benard followed with the topic based on the prayer of Jabez in 1Chronicles 4:10. He pointed out three things from the prayer that Jabez requested from God as ‘’Bless me, Expand my territory, Let your hand be upon me, Keep me from evil so that am free from pain,” and God granted Jabez’s request. The pastor encouraged the guardians that God answers prayer and that he is our ultimate source; therefore the right response to him ought to be faith that he (God) will cause things to turn out well. He encouraged the group to: pray because God answers prayer, have a vision for the future because where there is no vision people perish, believe the voice of your conviction because it is powerful and have a positive attitude because it will take you far. We thank God for one guardian who gave their life to Christ.
