He is Risen
CCP’s Good News Clubs (GNCs) had a great time on Saturday April 22nd, 2017 at an Easter celebration event, held at Community Center, Kawangware. The event’s theme “He is Risen” focused on the mastery of God’s word through memory verses, songs, skits, dance, art and poems. The event attracted 496 children within Kawagware and Ngando communities organized into four GNCs centers namely: Solid Rock, Community Center, Good Hope and Kawangware Day. The four GNCs competed in a dance, memory verses, skits, songs, poems and Art (drawing). Fredrick Mmbwanga, CCP’s Pastor congratulated the children for their commitment and dedication to make the event possible. The background of tattered clothing and the cross was to depict the shameful death that Jesus went through at Golgotha. Also, the balloons symbolized celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Solid Rock emerged the winner with 361 points, followed by Good Hope with 327 while Community Center bundled third position with 290 points and lastly Kawangware Day got 271 points. The adjudicators evaluated the theme of the day, creativity, confidence & coordination in presentation, entertainment and overall performance. GNC is a Bible study program for sponsored and non-sponsored children aged between 4-10 years. CCP has four GNCs centers: three in Kawangware while one in Ngando. These children learn the word of God through Bible lessons and participatory activities such as games. The centers meet on Saturday at various centers in Kawangware and Ngando.
